Hull directors smash fundraising target

Sara Holtby reaches the top of Totterdown Hill

Directors at Hull eco business, Bio-D have raised over £900 for charity after completing the gruelling ‘Big G’ Cyclosportive.

Despite training setbacks resulting from a dislocated shoulder and inclement weather on the day, Lloyd Atkin and Sara Holtby faced the 62k ‘Big G’ challenge with a smile and were delighted to raise so much money for the Allergy UK Nurses Appeal.

Of the achievement, Allergy UK’s fundraising manager, Julia Kitchenham congratulated them and said: “Thanks for sharing and I look forward to supporting you through your next fundraising challenge – on that note, is anyone up for a skydive??!”

Although not necessarily keen on the idea of a skydive, Bio-D’s Managing Director Lloyd Atkin said: “Allergy UK is our charity of the year and we wanted to undertake a significant challenge to raise vital funds.  We didn’t quite appreciate quite how much of a challenge it would be, but the funds raised more than make up for the pain! We set a target of £500, so were thrilled to get over £900.”

Allergy UK launched a nationwide fundraising appeal to raise £1million to provide specialist allergy nurses within communities across the UK last year. Allergy UK’s nurses will help to support GPs to meet the challenge the current allergy epidemic is placing on them within an already overloaded Primary Care health system.

Please can you help us to raise money for Allergy UK Nurses Appeal?

Introducing the new look Bio-D packaging!

Drum roll please…

After many months of research, design work and packaging development, we’re finally ready to unveil our new range to you!

Your feedback was invaluable and suggested that you wanted the benefits of Bio-D to be clearer, the design of the packaging to more consumer centric and pack formats to be more user friendly…

So, this is what we’ve done to make Bio-D even better than it was before;

  1. We have redesigned the packaging so that the key benefits are clearly visible on the front of the pack
  2. We have reduced the number of words on the front of the pack so that it’s easier for you to find the information that matters to you quickly and easily
  3. We have replaced our round bottles with rectangular ones that take up less space in the cupboard
  4. We have reduced the pack size of the best selling washing up liquid to make it easier to use
  5. We have added a convenient pouring handle and a handy measuring cap to the laundry products
  6. We have added a useful squirt and a mist function to our ergonomic trigger bottles
  7. We have added an angled neck to our toilet cleaner
